I have always been fascinated with Drawing and Painting the human figure. The Classical Nude from the Renaissance on has been the standard by which all artists have been measured. In 1965 I was among a group of art majors at the University of Alabama who broke a state law by forming a life drawing group on campus. We were arrested but bailed out by the Head of the Art Department. The law was challenged and changed. Those were the days!
I have been envolved with drawing groups for the past six years. I met with a group in Hickory, NC in 2004. From 2005 till now I have been in a drawing group in Winston- Salem with beautiful models from School of the Arts. After the death of Lou Murphy, I began teaching the "LIfe Drawing" class at the Waterworks Visual Arts Center in Salisbury, N.C.
