Figure drawing has been the standard by which we measure the art of Western Civilization since the Italian renaissace. Although realistic drawing was not stressed during my college years, I studied additionally at the Art Student's League of New York and have been involved in drawing groups in Winston-Salem, Hickory, and Salisbury, NC, for the past five years.
